My name is Megan Degnan and I am a senior in the Residential Property Management program at Virginia Tech. I just wanted to thank you for taking the time out of your schedule to come present to our Maintenance for Property Managers class. This summer I had the opportunity to intern with a property management and real estate development company in D.C.  Aside from my on-site experience, I got to shadow both the Regional Service Managers and the Director of Service Operations.  With them, we spent time going to properties across the portfolio, new and old, luxury and tax-credit, working on various capital expenditure projects. Your presentation was extremely informative and most importantly conveyed the reasoning for various steps and procedures during the bidding and proposal process.  Having worked with the on-site service teams, Regional Service Managers, and Director of Service Operations this summer, what you taught us and explained to us today now really makes sense.  I was able to look back and realize why things were done the way they were and why some of the issues we had with contractors arose.
